Future of Solway Harvester up for debate in House of Keys

The issue of the Solway Harvester will be up for debate in this week’s House of Keys sitting.

The vessel, salvaged from the sea bed back in 2000 has been moored in Douglas harbour for the past ten years.

Ramsey MHK Leonard Singer will ask Infrastructure Minister, David Cretney, what plans he has to dispose of the vessel.

He’ll also be looking to find out who has ownership of the wreck, and what payments are made for its upkeep and mooring.

Minister Cretney will be asked to make a statement on the matter.
