A public consultation will be launched into the future of the Islands postal service later this summer.
It comes after the Isle of Man Post Office announced the impending closure of Crosby Terrace Post Office in Douglas at the end of August.
They say the digital era is having an impact on how their services work, with a reduction in people and businesses using counter-based services.
The letter mail volume on the Island has dropped 47 per cent in the last 10 years.
