The government is warning people to be careful of being taken in by online fraudsters after an Island driving instructor was targeted.
The Office of Cyber Security and Information Assurance says the local instructor was being impersonated on social media and WhatsApp, trying to extract money from clients.
It's warning people to be aware that even accounts they know can be used for fraud.
And it adds if a message from a contact seems out of character you should verify it before responding.
