Mobile phone company Sure says it hopes to boost mobile signals in the centre of the capital with four new rooftop transmitter sites.
The mobile sites would be on the top corners of the Strand Centre in Douglas on steel frames.
In a planning application, the company says coverage along Strand Street and the promenade is currently poor.
But it says putting the new equipment on a rooftop overlooking the area would greatly improve signal strengths for mobile phones.
