An Island music school says four of it students have tested positive for Covid-19.
Rock Project Isle of Man says a close contact of one of its students tested positive on Wednesday (February 17) and as a result the school cancelled its showcase for the following day.
Then on Thursday (February 18) the student received a positive test result and since then a further three pupils have also been identified as having contracted the illness following contact tracing.
The school says the initial case was detected in the final session of the day on Tuesday (February 16) and anyone who went to sessions earlier that day are not affected.
A number of close contacts are now in quarantine.
Rock Project adds it’s now working out how best they can run other sessions and will be in touch with parents shortly.
It’s also thanking parents and those who’re now self-isolating for their support.
Since Thursday, there have been 13 active cases confirmed on Manx shores, all of which are linked to a Steam Packet Company worker who contracted the virus.
