A Formula 1 worker caught speeding on an uninsured motorbike he didn't have a licence to ride has been spared a driving ban.
Frankie JR Stennett of Meadow Crescent in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas courthouse.
The 28 year old admitted having no licence or insurance on July 9.
Prosecutor Chrissie Hunt told the hearing police issued a fixed penalty notice when Stennett was caught doing 45mph in a 40 zone.
Later that day, he rang officers and admitted he didn't have a motorbike licence despite racing the machines, and also confessed the bike wasn't insured.
Defence advocate James Peterson said his client had no previous convictions but would lose his dream job with a UK F1 team if he was banned from the roads, adding "he would lose everything he has worked for."
Magistrates told him his offences were "almost unbelievable".
They fined him £650, and put four penalty points on his licence - taking him to seven points after he was given three for speeding.
He was also ordered to pay £50 costs and the bench told him "Go away, and be good".
