The former police station in Castletown must 'pay its way' if it comes into use.
That's according to Manx National Heritage (MNH) as the landmark in the town has been put up for lease with interested parties now being invited to put forward expressions of interest to take on the registered building.
However, any plans for it must meet certain requirements including a minimum five-year lease, respecting the heritage of the building and making a positive social and economic impact on the town.
MNH says whilst there are many potential uses for the building, whatever it becomes must be sustainable - adding this rules out several suggestions for it including a new heritage attraction run by the organisation and funded by the taxpayer.
Meanwhile, anyone looking to put forward proposals can send them to Chrystals Estate Agents at commercial@chrystals.co.im before the deadline at Noon on Thursday, October 22.
