A former Rushen MHK has thrown his name into the pot for September's General Election.
Quintin Gill is hoping to make a return to politics by standing as a Douglas East candidate.
The 56-year-old served in the southern constituency for 10 years between 2001 and 2011 - an attempt to secure a seat in the Douglas West by-election in 2013 was unsuccessful.
Mr Gill says despite being out of politics for some time his commitment to being a "hardworking and straightforward" MHK is "undiminished".
