A former doorman who threw punches in a row about a taxi will be sentenced alongside his wife next month.
Padraig Eoin O'Sullivan of Spring Valley Road admitted two counts of assault and one of obstructing police in Victoria Street in Douglas on July 5.
Further charges of disorderly behaviour and assaulting a police officer were withdrawn by the prosecutor.
The court heard the 35 year old and his wife attacked a couple in a taxi after drinking more than ten pints to celebrate their wedding anniversary.
Prosecutor Rachel Braidwood told the hearing O'Sullivan could barely remember the incident but regretted his actions.
Magistrates asked for reports to be prepared and bailed O'Sullivan to appear again on September 8.
