Football clubs are being told to keep their changing rooms locked whilst matches are being played.
The Isle of Man Football Association says it follows reports that money was stolen from Pulrose Football Club on Saturday whilst the attention was focussed on the pitch.
The money, belonging to members of both teams, was taken from the changing room facilities.
In an effort to stamp out this crime clubs are being asked to ensure doors are locked and valuables are hidden out of sight or locked away in vehicles.
The FA says it is truly sad that it must give out this sort of advice to the Manx football community but say people need to be extra careful and vigilant.
