Foot and Mouth Disease means animal imports from Slovakia and Hungary banned

If you're planning on importing cattle, pigs, sheep, or goats from Hungary or Slovakia then think again!

The government says it's introducing restrictions to top the spread of foot and mouth disease from both countries.

It's after an outbreak of the disease was confirmed this week.

Anyone who thinks their animals may have foot and mouth disease is being asked to call 685844 immediately.
