There is confidence that supplies of food, fuel and essential medications to the Island are not at risk.
That’s according to the Treasury Minister amid disruption to Steam Packet services.
The Council of Ministers met this morning and discussed the impact, concluding that essential supplies are not currently at risk.
Government is expecting to receive regular updates from the Steam Packet and have been reassured they will be looking at all avenues available to deliver a ‘full and resilient transport service’ for residents and businesses.
