Cabinet Office Minister David Ashford is to update Tynwald members about the Island's Freedom of Information laws next week.
During the court's April sitting, he's due to make a statement on the subject.
There are currently two consultations on the Island's 2015 Freedom of Information Act - one about whether to start charging people for asking for information, and the other on whether government-owned companies such as the Steam Packet should be included.
Tynwald sits next Tuesday in Legislative Buildings in Douglas.
