A former newsagent building in Port Erin could see its upper floors turned into flats.
Fistard Property Investments says it wants to convert storage and office space above the former Erin News shop.
In its plans, it says while demand for offices and storage is low, residential properties are in short supply and so it's applied for permission to carry out the work.
The company says changing the use would also mean creating additional entrances.
Erin News closed in March after its owners said they couldn't find a buyer for it.
