Members of the fishing industry are backing a project aiming to keep the Islands waters clean.
The Fishing For Litter (FFL) initiative involves the government providing fishermen with reusable marine litter sacks to pick waste out of the seas - the refuse is then brought to shore and put into designated bins.
Chief executive of the Manx Fish Producers Organisation, Dr David Beard, says high quality waters are vital to the sector and the FFL scheme deserves its full support.
Meanwhile, fishermen and manager of Isle of Man Seafood Products Ltd., William Caley, says they also endorse the initiative and look forward to working with other organisations on the venture.
