The first midwife to ever complete her training on the Island has qualified after a 100-year campaign.
Jess started her education in 2021 at the University of Salford and finished her practical training on the Island this year.
Her success comes 100 years after a request was first made to Tynwald for £2000 to fund the building of a maternity home and school for training midwives.
She says she's felt so lucky to have completed her training on the Island and she's loved having new mums stopping her to say hello in shops!
