The Fire and Rescue Service was called out to a shed fire in Laxey yesterday evening, Tuesday, August 4.
Crews say the blaze had also caused damage to the house, though all residents had made it out safely.
They were there for around 45 minutes.
The emergency service says the incident serves as an example of how important smoke detectors are to provide early warning.
