Firefighters in Peel were called into action today after a pan was left on a cooker.
A concerned resident called 999 at 11.25am after noticing a large amount of smoke coming from the rear of the property on Beech Street.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus established the property was empty and the smoke was coming from the kitchen.
No one was in the property at the time and there was no damage to the other rooms.
The Fire Service has thanked those who adhered to the road closure whilst the incident was taking place.
