Check BBQ\'s For Gas Leaks
Fire crews attended a Gas Barbecue incident yesterday which caught fire as the owner was lighting it.
The owner received burns to their fingers and lower arm, they were treated on route to Nobles in the Ambulance.
It took two fire-fighters wearing breathing apparatus over half an hour to extinguish the blaze.
The fire safety team have issued a message urging barbaque owners to ensure their appliances are serviced and maintained after been stored over the winter – you should also always check connections for leaks before lighting them.
