The Fire and Rescue Service is asking people to take suitable precautions when lighting a controlled burn, after a callout today.
On Facebook, firefighters say they responded with a full mobilisation for what turned out to be a controlled burn.
They say you should choose a safe location away from buildings or anything that could catch light, consider the wind, keep the blaze to a manageable size, make sure the burn is supervised and have something to put out flames with.
But they say you should also contact the Joint Control Room in advance on 697327 to make sure there's no unnecessary response from the emergency services.
