The fire and rescue service has confirmed it was brought in to help get an injured person off the Polish training ship which is visiting Douglas.
Crews used a fire engine's ladder to lift the person from the Polish tall ship Dar Młodzieży.
The incident happened yesterday, Saturday, April 25.
Firefighters say it shows the importance of emergency services working together, as the ambulance service was there to take the casualty.
