Fire crews were mobilised on Christmas Eve to a house fire in Onchan.
Teams attended the property on Main Road just after 5pm on December 24 after the owner had raised the alarm before leading his pet dogs to safety.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames on the first floor before ventilating the property which had suffered extensive smoke damage.
A male was given oxygen therapy before ambulance personnel arrived at the scene - an investigation into the cause of the fire is being undertaken.
