Fire crews were called to a fire in the South last night.
Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service teams from Rushen and Castletown stations responded to a call at 4.30pm near Earystane, Colby.
Crews arrived to find hedgerow on fire close to a property and applied a high pressure lance to extinguish the flames.
The fire was caused by a stray ember from a garden brasier.
The Fire Service are reminding residents to ensure outdoor fires are positioned far away from structures, fences and hedges, as well as always to keep a bucket of water or hosepipe nearby.
