The Island's fire service attended two countryside fires yesterday.
Douglas crews were called to a fire involving a field, hedgerow and straw bale at Marine Drive at around 2pm, and were in attendance for about 45 minutes.
Meanwhile, firefighters down south attended a grass fire at Ballakaighen Road in Castletown, which was extinguished and the area dampened down with help from those at the Steam Railway.
Crews have attended numerous outside fires recently due to the hot and dry weather.
