Firefighters were called out in Douglas yesterday after reports of a fire in a complex for the over-50s.
The alarm was raised shortly before 6pm when the blaze broke out in a kitchen in Saddle Mews.
Householders evacuated the building safely, and firefighters spent half an hour tackling the flames and ventilating the property.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
