A Douglas man who was caught with an out of date tax disc has been fined £100.
Police stopped 54-year-old Thomas Thomson Robertson, of Murray's Lake Drive, in Douglas on April 21st.
His tax had expired in April 2017 - Robertson told officers he'd just bought the car and was on his way to the Post Office.
He admitted the offence via Coroner's Admission at Douglas Courthouse last week.
In mitigation he told Magistrates: "I wasn't out to break the law - I'm very sorry" - he was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £50.
