The Treasury Minister insists financial services are still the bedrock of the Manx economy despite the Bank of Ireland pulling out of the Isle of Man.
Yesterday the company announced it will close its Douglas branch over the next 12 months, affecting 25 staff.
Last year the closure of AIB also resulted in dozens of Manx workers losing their jobs.
However Eddie Teare says this isn't necessarily the end of line for Irish banks on the Island.
He says it's important government considers all options:
