The final stage of work to repair the collapsed valley in Port St Mary will take place this weekend.
A landslide in the happy valley area in January resulted in the road being closed off to all vehicles.
The road re-opened at the beginning of this month however work to ensure the long-term stabilisation of the bank will take place this weekend.
All this weekend the closure will be extended by around 20 meteres across the junction at Victoria Road.
A diversion will be in place.
As well as stablising the bank new ground drainage will be put in place.
It's hoped after all this repair work Bay View Road will be stable for a long time.
