The Steam Packet Company says the Manannan is preparing for her final voyage of the year before undergoing winter maintenance.
The fastcraft is due to make her final crossing of 2018 on Sunday, before she moors in Douglas harbour.
She'll undergo an annual overhaul, and will resume services next March.
Chief executive Mark Woodward says keeping the vessel in Douglas will provide extra support for sea links over Christmas.
