It’s “lights, camera, action” today as filming starts on a new period drama.
Isle of Man Film will begin shooting Belle – a lavish and passionate tale inspired by the 1779 painting of Dido Elizabeth Belle.
Featuring a number of well known British actors, including Harry Potter star Tom Felton, the film is being directed by BAFTA award winner Amma Asante and produced by Damian Jones.
The production marks the first collaboration between the Isle of Man and Pinewood Studios.
Filming will last around three weeks with a number of local people appearing as extras.
