The number of people on public housing waiting lists has fallen almost 20 per cent in the last decade, according to Infrastructure Minister Dr Michelle Haywood.
She was asked for the data by Douglas North MHK David Ashford in a question for written answer.
In 2014, a total of 907 people were waiting for general housing, while last year that number had dropped to 721.
Douglas Council saw a 40 per cent drop off in the number of people waiting, while Peel saw a 28 per cent rise.
