Ferries to go ahead, despite bad weather

The Steam Packet company says tonight and tomorrow morning's sailings will go ahead.

The company announced the Ben my Chree's 7.45pm trip from Douglas to Heysham will now depart at 7pm.

The ship's return crossing from Heysham at 2.15am tomorrow morning will also go ahead but has been brought forward, and will depart at 1am.

The Ronaldsway Met Office has issued a weather warning today as the Island braces itself for winds of up to 70mph tonight, accompanied by more snow and heavy rain.
