The Steam Packet Company is celebrating after the keel of its new ferry was laid in South Korea.
The ceremony at the Hyundai Mipo shipyard in Ulsan took place on Christmas Eve.
In keeping with tradition, workers put a coin under the keel to bring the vessel good luck.
The Manxman is due to replace the Ben my Chree when she enters service in 2023.
