Feedback sought for new Manx produce label

Designs for a new Manx food label are going out for public approval.

The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture has conducted months of research to create a label for local products - it's part of the Food Matters Strategy.
 
It's now ready to show businesses and consumers the draft designs - the label will be used to show produce grown, reared, caught or processed on the Island or for items containing mostly Manx ingredients. 
 
Meetings will take place on November 7th and 8th at 6pm at Noa Bakehouse. 
 
Andrew Lees is the food business development manager - he says it's important the labels are instantly recognisable to give people confidence to spot local produce:
