It's been confirmed that an MGP rider who died yesterday was the uncle of TT star Ryan Farquhar.
Trevor Ferguson, who was 48 and from County Tyrone in Northern Ireland, died during the SuperTwin race.
It followed an incident at ‘The Nook’ on the approach to Governors Dip.
He had been competing on one of his nephew's Kawasaki bikes.
Harvey Garton from the Manx Motorcycle Club has branded Trevor ‘a major part of the MGP family, who loved racing around the Mountain Course’.
The Coroner of Inquests has been notified and an investigation into the circumstances of the incident is underway.
