Farmer hits out after hay bale arson attack

A farmer's hit out after someone tried to set hay bales on fire in their fields.

Vicky Sloane-Masson of Ballacricket Farm in Ronague posted photos of the damage to Facebook, saying it's the second such incident in two years.

After trying to light the blaze, those responsible pushed the bale into a river - Vicky says they've destroyed valuable winter livestock feed, and lighting a fire in the dry conditions could have been disastrous.

In her post, she's asking parents to make sure they know what their children are up to during the evenings.
