Facebook to introduce Manx optional layout

Facebook is now providing its basic template in Manx following massive exposure of the language on the network and other sites like Twitter and YouTube.

Facebook’s new option is largely thanks to the efforts of a computer science professor in America.

Kevin Scannell, who lectures at St Louis University, is helping to promote indigenous languages through social media.

Manx, or Gaelg, has already been mentioned on Twitter alone nearly 48,000 times over the past couple of years.
