The chair of Peel Commissioners has confirmed a member of staff is being investigated.
Ray Harmer read out a statement at last night's board meeting, asking residents to respect the process's confidentiality.
He also confirmed the fees for solicitors would be released after the probe was finished.
Mr Harmer said he couldn't comment further until the process was complete.
