Extensive damage caused to cricket pitch

Sometime between Wednesday of last week and yesterday extensive damage has been caused to the artificial cricket pitch at Ramsey Grammar School’s west building.

Pieces of pitch have been torn up leaving it unplayable and costing in the region of £4000 to fix.

It is not only the school’s facility it doubles up as Ramsey Cricket club’s primary pitch.

The area where the damage has been committed is out of view of the road, but can be seen from Ramsey golf course and the school’s west car park.

If anyone has any information they’re asked to contact Ramsey Police Station immediately.
