Island\'s Top Film Competitions Asking for People to Submit Entries by 18th August
Any budding filmmakers out there are asked to get their entries in for the two film competitions in operation this Summer, Young Film-Maker of Man, and the Short Film Competition.
The Young Film Maker of Man has now been running for 7 years and is seen as an established way for local filmmakers to showcase their talent – entrants must be under 23.
The Short Film Competition has been running since 2007 and is open to all locals or anyone who has a Manx theme in their film.
The judging panel for this year’s competitions will include local film producer Charles Guard and Rob Hurdman a Director of Greenlight Television as well as Arts Council members.
The closing date for entries into both competitions is Wednesday 18th August. Entry forms can be obtained from the Isle of Man Arts Council on 694598, or email iomartscouncil@dtl.gov.im and via www.iomarts.com
