The Island's Enterprise Minister says he doesn't know how many hospitality businesses have opened or closed since a new economic plan was unveiled.
In the House of Keys, Tim Johnston faced questions from North Douglas MHK David Ashford about the sector and the government's economic strategy.
Mr Johnston said the government doesn't track how many companies there are in the industry.
He added his department is now planning to collect more information:
