It was a
busy one for the Emergency Services Joint Control Room last night with them
responding to 32 999 calls from 3pm to 8am.
The
Police dealt with 80 incidents in the same period, and 102 in the 24-hour
period.
On
average that’s about 40 more calls than normal.
The
Police say that the Island wide cancellations of events and clubs seemed to be
the sensible option and contributed in keeping incident numbers down.
