A collapsed footway will undergo emergency repairs today.
From 9am work will take place on the Bride Road, between Andreas School and Croft Park in the village.
The works are directly adjacent to the zebra crossing outside the school and will require that the crossing is closed .
There will be temporary two way traffic lights in operation, as one carriageway will also be closed.
It is expected that these works may take up to two weeks to complete.
The Department apologises for any inconvenience caused to residents of the village.
