The Department of Education, Sport and Culture is preparing an emergency plan for remote schooling.
That's according to Education Minister Daphne Caine, in response to a Tynwald question for written reply from Peel and Glenfaba MHK Kate Lord-Brennan.
She'd asked what arrangements the department has for online learning with students who can't regularly attend school.
Mrs Caine said remote education is already done in a number of ways - while the new policy will give guidance for schools if they have to close during an emergency incident.
