More people could be issued with electronic tags by courts as Tynwald prepares to update legislation dating back 18 years.
When the court sits later this month, Justice and Home Affairs Minister Jane Poole-Wilson will ask members to back new regulations.
They'd allow courts to issue people with tags if they're released on bail - currently only those released from prison on licence can be tagged.
Tynwald is due to sit from Tuesday, June 17.
