The Electric Railway is currently suspended between Derby Castle and Laxey after a vehicle hit the power lines.
Police say it happened at the tram crossing between Baldrine and Groudle Glen, with the road shutting for a brief period.
Isle of Man Transport says services between Laxey and Ramsey remain unaffected.
