Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall says he'll hold meetings with people in the north worried about Mountain Road closures.
In the House of Keys this week he faced questions on closures on the key route between Douglas and Ramsey.
Mr Crookall said during bad weather it was essential to keep the public and emergency services safe, but acknowledged it also closed for work.
He said he'd be happy to discuss measures that could help keep the road open:
Manx movie star featuring at Cannes
Registrations open for popular charity obstacle course
Northern roads to close for cycling
Hundreds of job offers withdrawn over vetting failures
New cafe for the capital
Crash causes disruption at Quarterbridge
Stamps mark Manx connection to US War of Independence
