Education staff will be paid for snow closures

Education Minister Daphne Caine says all school and college staff will be paid for snow days.

The Department of Education, Sport and Culture has issued a press release to reassure teachers, lecturers and other staff at schools and University College Isle of Man.

It says in line with long-standing practice, they'll all be paid when facilities are closed because of weather.

Mrs Caine says paying staff has always been the department's position.
