Mixed Age Classes To Become More Common
Education
and Children Minister Eddie Teare has predicted an increased in mixed aged classes in the
Island’s Schools.
As pupil numbers fall in some areas of the Island, an increasing number of schools will be adopting classes which cover more than one traditional year group.
Another
factor is of the economic downturn, meaning some School’s which are
experiencing a downward trend in pupil numbers will have to be restructured in
an effort to save money.
He went
onto say that the experience can be beneficial for the younger children.
