Government aims to tackle problem drinking
Drinkers are going to be paying more for high strength beers.
Tynwald voted in favour of the move which it's hoped will help in tackling problem drinking on the island.
The increase is in keeping with measures introduced in the UK which will see additional duty charged on beers and lagers over 7.5% by volume, but there will be a lower tax rate for low alcohol beers under 2.8%
